Setting up a LED Variable Message Signboard is a fairly simple process. Our VMS boards use the DS-Live web-based system. This allows users to interact with their Variable Message Sign remotely.
When you hire a Variable Message Sign with Payne Hire you receive a username and password, which gives you full access to set-up and control the message shown on your VMS. We also are happy to manage the messages on your behalf.
Customers can log in at ds-live.com.au. Once logged in, the user can create a message to display on the signboard. There is a character limit per line and each line can be set to “flash” individually. There is also the option to choose from colours – yellow, blue, green, red, white and black. Yellow is generally the industry standard for traffic management signs as it stands out the most at all times of day.
You can choose to show more than one message with multiple frames allowed. Each frame has a setting for duration in seconds also.
It is also possible to use a variety of arrows and other drawings on the signs.
The VMS boards have GPS tracking on them, so it’s easy to see their current location via google maps within the DS-Live software.
